After completing my undergraduate Arts degree, my private drum tutor at the time, Frank Gibson Jr, suggested that I enrol in the University of Auckland jazz music programme and further pursue my love of drumming. Under the tutelage of both Frank and Ron Samsom, I graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Music Honours. It was an ideal environment for me to observe and learn how to be a complete drummer, as well as, a keen Drum Teacher!
